Neck Pain Treatment | Glen Iris & Malvern

Neck pain has become increasingly common and it's not hard to understand why. Most of us spend hours each day looking at screens, hunching over laptops, or sleeping in positions our necks aren't particularly happy about. Over time, that sustained load accumulates and what starts as occasional stiffness can become something that affects your whole day.

At Movement Osteopathy, we assess not just your neck but the broader picture — your upper back, shoulders, jaw, and how you hold yourself throughout the day. Often the neck is where the pain lives, but not necessarily where the problem originates.

Treatment typically involves hands-on techniques to restore movement and reduce tension, combined with practical advice and exercises to help you stay on top of it between appointments.

Common conditions we treat include:

  • Neck stiffness and reduced range of motion

  • Cervicogenic headaches — headaches originating from the neck

  • Whiplash and post-accident neck pain

  • Nerve-related arm pain and tingling

  • Thoracic outlet syndrome

  • Text neck and postural neck pain

  • Facet joint irritation

  • Upper trapezius and levator scapulae tension
